How does the checkout look for Chinese customers?
The checkout process is quite simple and easy to understand, which will likely increase the chances of conversion.
Is this payment gateway safe?
Since the QR codes used to finalise transactions are generated through JGOO’s secure API, security should not be a major concern.
The extension provides customer cart information to the API to generate each code. And, once the payment is complete, the transaction ID is sent back to the Magento store to reference the transaction.
Then, customers get redirected to the order success page, while the order information and the JGOO transaction ID get stored safely.
There is no way for a customer to get redirected to an external page since the QR code only appears in the Magento checkout. The code is generated through a server-to-server call by utilising JGOO’s API (which then uses WeChat/Alipay APIs).
Of course, payment information sent back to customers through their apps and the merchant’s Magento store never comes in contact with the payment data.
What this means is that customer payment info isn’t stored anywhere, especially not on the Magento server. Therefore, this way of purchase is the safest payment method in China.

All you need is a JGOO Pay merchant account, as well as additional accounts with WeChat Pay and Alipay. The account is also free. You will be charged a small percentage per transaction once you start accepting payments from WeChat Pay and Alipay.
