QR code payment

It all works with Quick Response (QR) Codes, a two-dimensional barcode read by a smart phone. It allows merchants to receive payments from customers simply by scanning a relevant QR code, with no risk to merchants on the exchange rate.

Used by big companies and small businesses, the QR code has many advantages over a conventional barcode.

The main advantage is that you can store up to a hundred times more information on a QR code than on a conventional horizontal barcode. In addition, QR codes can be scanned from any direction for 360 degrees making them easier for devices to read.

Both platforms have a similar payment experience in that they both use QR codes to complete the payment. The difference is that Alipay is a pure payment app, while WeChat Pay is a payment feature that is integrated into the WeChat app. With over 1.08 billion monthly active users as of the third quarter of 2018, WeChat has become one of the most impactful mobile products on the planet.

Yes, absolutely. But with the combination of WeChat Pay and Alipay, the merchant can cover over 90% of Chinese mobile payment users.

Within 3 working days after submission of the merchant form, but often faster.

UnionPay was developed by the Bank of China - it is a card payment method and does not have the social and marketing capabilities of WeChat Pay and Alipay. For example, when a customer purchases a product from an overseas merchant, the local currency will be converted into CNY based on real-time rates. The converted CNY amount will then be deducted from the customer's account when the customer confirms the deal in WeChat Pay or Alipay. As soon as the customer finishes the payment, he/she may follow the overseas merchant’s official account. They can still make purchases through this account after they go back to China, signifying the start of a customer relationship.

WeChat Pay supports major currencies including but not limited to GBP, HKD, USD, JPY, CAD, AUD, EUR, NZD, KRW settlement. Alipay supports 14 settlement currencies: USD, EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, AUD, SGD, CHF, SEK, DKK, NOK, NZD, THB, HKD.

When the customer has completed the payment, the amount will be allocated to JGOO’s settlement bank for currency exchange. There is no risk to merchants on the exchange rate. After instantly collecting payment from JGOO’s account WeChat Pay or Alipay will buy foreign currency in one working day according to the spot rate that the settlement bank provides. When JGOO receive the money from WeChat Pay or Alipay, we will settle the money to the merchant within one working day.
